Snail

Sorry the blog has been a little slow lately. Sometimes a change in pace can be good though.

Mail

So guess what came in the mail yesterday besides Nicole's Crate&Barrel magazine? A card from Chelsea Marie....with cats on it. Apparently my future living room according to Chels. I'm glad I've at least got that going for me. Love you Chelsea! (oh, and I bet you would have loved to see the picture on the inside of the card make the blog...no such luck. ha.)

Brothers

I was procrastinating the other day (not that I haven't in recent days) and found this picture. I'm not even sure if it's from Andrew's birthday last year or the year before, but it makes me smile.

Blueberry muffins

Guest photography today by Nicole. Not only can she take beautiful pictures, she can make scrumptious muffins from scratch (the blueberries were grown in our backyard).

"Screw us and we multiply"

I think my favorite part of the protesting was that I got a surprise visit from Chelsea. Seriously loved. Oh, and the above quote was rather entertaining as well.

Polar Plunge!

Laundry Leaf

You might be saying, "wait, it's not Fall, what's going on?" Well this is a picture of one of the steps down to our laundry room. That's right, no snow, no ice, just left over leaves. And I love each one of those leaves so much right now.

Yummy

I took one bite and realized not only was the cookie pretty enough for a picture, it was also delicious enough for a picture. Thank you SPWL girlies!!

You would think it was summer by the looks of these clouds.

Nice Kitty

So if you haven't been able to tell, I haven't been feeling too artsy lately. This might mean a little break, or some oldies-but-goodies. Today I present you with my precious Ritz.

Just One More

I'll end the celebration of Super Bowl XLV with this one. But on a side note to yesterday's post, I counted four guys wearing coats with furry hoods today...all within 10 minutes of each other.

And Gold!

Well sort of. I was searching for something gold all day and the only gold things I saw found were a gold necklace and a gold watch worn by some random people I have class with (I'm not taking pictures of random people). I also saw a man purse and a guy wearing a coat with fur on the hood, but that's besides the point. I settled with yellow, but since it's Burt's Bee, it might as well be gold.

Green!

It's super cold out today and I feel like campus is turning anything but green. But check this out. I "discovered" green! Haha...I crack myself up (this is at the Discovery Center).

Go Pack Go!

This was our superbowl party. I know. Amazing. I'm pretty sure our championship status is the result of Melissa jumping on the couch. Just sayin'.

A little more than ordinary

This may look like an ordinary day in the life of Laura, but there was actually more to my day than homework and frozen lasagna. There was breakfast with my amazing mom and a special balloon delivery by the Roggenbauers. Sometimes ordinary days have a few extra surprises.

Five Degrees and Sunny

I was wearing my camera home from class today and still had it around my neck when I stopped for a few groceries. The checkout guy tried to make conversation about it, but I half couldn't hear him and half don't really know anything about my camera. I was thinking maybe I should read up on it, really learn how to use it, and then I realized I don't want to do that one bit. I just want to take pictures. Pictures of things that make me happy. Like the sun.

The Chazen

Cecily and I had a discussion section in the Chazen today. Let me tell you, analyzing art is not  a whole lot of fun, but Cecily is really good at it.
It looks like a quilt, but it's metal. Totally my favorite piece.
Cec- I thought I'd just put it up here. If you want the others I can email them to you.
And then we had some fun.
And spotted a kitty in the window on the ceiling.
And gazed awkwardly into paintings.
And made really pretty faces.
And imitated art some more.

Of course Cec would want to kiss a horse.
No need for words.
And almost broke the artwork.
"No wonder you don't like getting your picture taken"
